Ok Ok. Yes I know. I’ve kinda neglected this old website. Sorry folks. Anyhow I guess I have a few things to talk about now anyway. I started off the season by hitting the ramp in my yard for about a month as soon as my new sleds showed up from BRP.( The sleds are awesome) I drove to Colorado in early January to ride at the Compound for a while and get ready for my record jump. I had a good time with Clay, Chris , Kyle and Christoph. Next, Jay Quinlan , Heath Frisby and I did a show in Valcourt Quebec and got to tour the Ski-Doo factory. It is an amazing place, let me tell you! Huge for one thing! I thought it was really cool to get to see where all the sleds are actually made. Anyhow, after Valcourt, Heath and I headed to the east coast with the SCS crew and did a couple ramp demos in Sunday River, Maine and Attittash New Hampshire. The crowds were great and the people were all very friendly. I had a really good time. Courtney Hungerford joined us in Maine and Sam Carver flew in for the other show. All in all it was a really cool road trip, I got to see a lot of country and I had a great time with a lot of great people.
After driving back to Colorado I flew to Slovenia with Heath and Dana Torgerson AKA “Rooster”, the brains behind RATH for those of you who don’t know him. I had an amazing time in Slovenia, we flew in to the capitol city Ljubjana and did a show in a place called Kranjska Gora. The entire time we got treated like royalty and everyone we met was fantastic! It is a beautiful country and well worth a visit for anyone in the area! As well as meeting a lot of new friends, I also got to run into a few old ones who flew over and came to Valdez last year. It was good to see you guys! Anyway to make a long story short, I practiced and had no problems and then crashed on my first jump at the show. The setup was definitely a little challenging due to the poor snow year over there but I think that my lack of ramp experience is to blame! It is a good thing heath is more dialed because he finished off the show perfectly and everything ended up great. I think people like watching crashes anyhow, so I guess I contributed in one way or another.
After a fond farewell overseas we flew back to Colorado and I met up with all the people that were going to be working with me on the record project. I met a whole lot of fantastic and very professional people on this one too. Everyone worked extremely hard to made this happen and I definitely want to thank everyone involved for all their work. Anyhow, I ended up hitting the ramp 67 times over 2 different days to get the record. It was so hot out that I was having trouble getting the speed I needed on the in run. The first day I ended up hitting the ramp at full speed and only going about 246 at my biggest. The next day I geared my sled up, put a lightweight exhaust on it and did a couple other minor things to try and get a few more miles per hour out of it. We also extended the in run to almost double the length, which helped the most I think. The next day, March 11th, I went for it again. This day was even hotter and I ended up going only about 235 feet at full speed. Things didn’t look good! We got the idea to salt the in run, so a couple of the crew went and got a whole truckload of salt and some fertilizer sprinklers and we salted the entire inrun! This turned out to be a great idea because it really firmed up the snow and gave me the speed I needed to go the extra distance and throw down a 263.5-foot jump. We got a surveyor on sight to verify the distance as well, to make it legitimate for Guinness Book of Records. I was pretty stoked to get it done! After the record jump I drove home and now I am getting ready to go to Haines for the Easter weekend, which I have missed for the last couple of years. I am looking forward to doing some serious backcountry riding for the rest of the year! Anyhow I think that’s pretty much a full update of my season so far. There are a few pictures up and I hope to get a few more in the near future. I will also try and be a little more consistence with the updates and photos!

I put up a couple pics from Valdez. There will be more soon. i am going up to Skagway tomarrow to see what the snow conditions look like.
June 5th 2006
I just got home from Valdez last night. Everything went really well and I am still in one piece!! Good deal! Anyway, I got to do a lot of riding with Frontier Films and got quite a few good shots for the new movie. I also have a bunch of stills, which I will be putting up over the next few days. I guess the highlight of the trip has to be landing a jump that I am not sure what to call. Kind of an off-axis flip. I know dane has done them and that is what he is calling them, although i have been told by people that have seen the vidoes of both that we did them quite differently. I dont know. THe pictures will be up soon. I have a distance jump in mind at Skagway summit that I want to hit later this week. I am not sure how it is going to go, not sure if it is going to work to beat the record or not either. The jump and landing are perfect but the run in is slightly up hill so my sled may not be able to get enough speed to go 250 feet. If there is snow I will be hitting it full speed either way. Anyway i will be filming it with Sled Porn so if it does work out it will be in the video and if not, i will let everyone know.

My trip to Vancouver went great. My brothers wedding was very nice, I got through my speech without looking to stupid ( I think). I also got to hang out with some good friends I haven't seen in a long while. I also got a lot of tests done on my poor old carcass. My back is healing well, although it turns out that it was fractured worse than origionally thought. It has a sheer fracture not a compression fracture. This means that it ws cracked all the way through the vertebrate and it was less stable than i thought it was. Maybe i shouldn't have been riding, i dont know, haha. Anyway, i am going to go back down for an MRI on my knee and hopefully get reconstructive surgery on it this summer so i will be tip top for next season. It still kinda works, but it is really loose and floppy and causes me some problems. I also found out that I don't need to take the metal out of my wrist, which is good. One less thing to think about.Today was my first day back in the mountains riding hard since I got hurt. I went out with my pal Gerald Asp and Rob from SledPorn. The weather was great and the snow was really good too. It sure feels good to be riding again. I put some pictures up in the photos section, they are stills taken from video and are courtesy of SledPorn. I am heading up to Alaska on Wednsday to ride with some friends from Slovania and to work on my 2 stroke segment. I will be there for a couple weeks, so there should be some new photos etc when I get home!

Ok I leave tomarrow for Vancouver, but I have some good news in the meantime. We have finished our teaser for this years Summit Savages movie, "Off the Yarn" If you are not familiar with the summit savages, well, it might not be what you are used to.You might need windows media player to play it, not quicktime. i don't know. If it doesn't work, try it on someone elses computer. This years video is going to be pretty good, we are certianly not done filming for the season yet. We also have hats for sale, as well as last years video. Call my pal Bryn if you would like to purchase one! 1(867) 333 9098.

I started riding again a few days ago and i feel really good. It is theoretically a few more weeks until my back is healed, but I have been hitting a few jumps here at Mt. Sima and feeling pretty good about it. I am going down to Vancouver for my brother's wedding in a couple days, for about a week and then getting ready to head back up to Valdez to get back in the action. I have some serious time to make up, as I have had to rest for a large part of the best part of the season. On the way back from Vancouver I am goiong to see a surgeon about my knee so I can get surgery on it this summer. This is something I am happy about because it has had major problems for over a year now since I injured it last season in March. I am hoping to be heading into the upcoming season 100 percent. I always seem to start the season with some kind of injury, so I hope this next year will be different. I will post a couple photos of the jumps on Mt. Sima, they are nothing too exciting but the best I have right now.

Most people probably know this, but I am at home now rather than at Fuel and Fury. I realized i wasn't getting better about a wek and a half after I got hurt at the end of March. I kept trying to ride and every day it was the same, every bump or jump I hit made my back hurt. I went in and got Xrays and it turns out that my back is fractured. I am told that I should not ride or do heavy lifting for 8 to 12 weeks, so I came home rather than riding in the comp and risking getting paralyzed or something. I would like to express my gratitude for the services of Adkins Chiropractic in Anchorage. They helped me out big time and really spent the time to help me understand what was going on in my back. Anyway, I am going to take it easy and hopefully get back into it some time in May, sooner rather than later I hope. I am feeling a lot better, as it has already been about 2 weeks and i think i will recover quickly. I will keep you posted.
March 28th 2006
Well a few things have happened. I was supposed to leave for Australia today to ride with the Crusty tour, but I had a bit of a hard landing yesterday. Since i was planning on doing a ramp flip in Australia, i figured I better practice on snow first. THe conditions weren't very good and the jump was too steep. Also I am not used to flipping my new mod sled and it goes a lot better than my old one. Anyway to make a long story short I went way highter than I wanted to and landed sideways on a shitty hardpacked landing. I compressed my back and probably cracked a few ribs, so I am a little sore and needless to say in no shape to fly to Australia and flip again in a couple days. I just plan on taking it easy for a couple days and then easing back into the jumping. Got to get ready for Fuel and Fury in less than 2 weeks!! I will have some photos up tonight.
March 18th 2006
Here i am up in Alaska again. Feels good to be back on the scene up here, hanging out with all my AK friends. Anyway I am here for a while and plan on starting to hit it hard to get ready for fuel and fury, so there should be lots of new photos etc up on my site over the next couple of weeks. Keep checkin' in!! In other news Compound Films has a teaser up on their website, it is pretty cool, there site is www.compoundfilms.com. One thing i have been meaning to mention for the last while, anyone who has written me an email and not gotten a reply, fire me another one and i will do my best to write back, thanks.
March 14th 2006
Well I spent the weekend in Atlin B.C. doing the Atlin Hillclimb and drag races. The weather was a little chilly but the sun was shining and i think everyone had a great time. As usual all our friends there showed us a good time and there was no shortage of beer! Thanks for the hospitality guys! I should have a couple photos up in a bit. Heading to Alaska in a couple days. I am real excited about that, time to hit some good old AK backcountry with all the 907 crew. Good times ahead! I also want to mention for those of you that aren't already aware of it, check out
It is going to be the craziest thing anybody has ever seen, so stay tuned and vote!!!! I hope to make Canada and the Yukon proud!
March 8th 2006
Well, some good person turned my bag into the police and i got it back, completely intact, something for which I am very grateful! Sorry, no new pictures, weather didn't cooperate at the summit yesterday, but we still had some fun.
March 4th 2006
The ride at the summit wasn't very productive. I had a good day at the ramp today though. It was the first time i had hit it on my new sled, and it worked pretty well. It sure is a lot nicer to ride than my old one! I put a couple pics up. One thing i would like to ask everyone; My Ogio Gear bag fell off the back of my truck between Lobird and the bottom of south acces on Saterday (today) around 1 pm. I drove back up right away and it was gone so someone must have picked it up right away. If anyone grabbed it or knows of its whereabouts, please let me know, It has most of my gear in it and i really need it. Thanks. In the bag I had 2 Oakley Jackets, one black and one sort of a dark yellow and white. Also had about 6 pairs of new oakley goggles, some gloves and my avalanche pack, with shovel and probe. Tools and jets too.Like I said, I really need this stuff, it is worth alot of money and I can't replace it. If anyone knows anything i will make sure to make it worth your while to let me know. This includes info about any punkasses wearing my stuff! Thanks everyone. My # is 393- 3648
March 3rd 2006
I got my Paint job and decals done on my sled! Paint job turned out great, thanks to Paint En' Place. Of course, thanks to RedBull for helping my get all this done! I will have a couple photos up tonight. I am headed to Skagway summit with Rob, so there might even be a couple photos of some action!
Feb 28th 2006
Ok. I finally got my site updated. I have been having some computer problems. Well, Austria was probably the funnest trip of my life. It started out a little rough, with all of my luggage being lost somewhere between Whitehorse, Yukon and Munich, Germany. Once things sorted themselves out it was all good though. The Erzbourg race was an awesome time although that started out a little rough too. All of us North Americans burned down our motors in qualifying. This put myself, Justin Hoyer, Chris Burandt, Jay Quinlan and Heath Frisby in the last row starting, out of 52 riders. We also had to run the race with blown motors because it started almost right after qualifying. Not a good way to start a race you have come so far to do! Dana Torgerson also ran the race, and did well in qualifying. This allowed him to be in the front of the pack during the actual race, so naturally he caused a major pileup! Despite the bad start, Mr. Quinlan somehow got first place! Chris Burandt got third, I got 6th and Heath got 8th. Poor old Justin blew up his motor again. Besides the race we also did two ramp shows, at which i was a spectator. I think people were really stoked on the tricks the guys were doing! We also got to go and ride backcountry for a day in the Alps. This turned out to be kind of interesting, mainly because this is not allowed and we encountered several screaming cross country skiers and got the police called on us. Somehow we managed to get loaded up and leave before they showed up. All in all the trip was fantastic. Iwas there with a great bunch of guys, and we had a lot of fun. We pretty much got to drive from one end of Austria to the other, and it is probably the most beautiful country I have ever visited. We met all kinds of awesome people who treated us very well too. I will get some photos up as soon as i can. I don't have too many riding ones but lots of good scenery/hanging out photos.
February 1st 2006
I am sick of driving!! Colorado is a long haul in a pickup. The trip was awesome. I met up with Cody Borchers, Rob Alford and Aaron from Frontier Films in Revelstoke. We had a good time, even though the weather wasn't very cooperative. Let me tell you, they have snow down there that we don't even know about in the yukon. Definately the most snow I have ever ridden in. Cody and I headed down to Colorado after a week in Revvy. The "Compound" as it is called, is a pretty cool place. There was lots of snow and the weather was great. CLayton Stassart and Chris Brown are running the show out there, they have a snowcat on the farm too, which really makes things happen. Imagine being able to build a jump anywhere you want in a matter of minutes. It is also great for fixxing landings too! Anyway, we spent most of our time on the farm, jumping over buildings etc. Cody and I both did a big stepup that was pretty sick. Full speed run -in. Pretty scary. We also spent a day in the Colorado backcountry which was a lot of fun. All in all i think we got some great riding done and I definately had a blast. I will have some photos up really soon too.
Jan 11th 2006
I am heading to REvelstoke today to film with Frontier Films, then on down to Colorado to ride with a new company called "Compound". Real excited. I will be back home at the end of the month to get ready for Austria!!
December 31st 2005
Out with the old and in with the new!! Happy new year. Web site looks pretty snappy doesn't it? Thats because my pal Sean Stark is to websites what Ron Jeremy is to porn. Thanks Sean!! I went to the Skagway summit a couple days ago, nothing too exciting happened. We hit a couple little rollers and sat around in the mist. No photos I am afraid.
December 26th 2005
Merry Christmas and happy new year! hope everyone had a good holiday. There was a trip planned today for Skagway but yesterday my pal Bryn landed upside down on a flip and flattened himself out. He is in Vancouver getting mended right now so that kind of put a damper on things for a little bit. Instead of riding I decided to put up some videos on the site. Most people will probably recognize a couple of them from last years movies. You might have to hit "refresh" on the videos page, I did on my computer. I hope to hit the hills again soon and am in the midst of getting together a more extensive trip to find snow, wherever it may be. There will be more changes to the site within the next couple of days to kind of make things look better and be a little more streamlined.
December 23rd 2005
Skagway was a pretty good time. The snow wasn't too bad and my sled worked awesome. I put up a photo of a little whip jump we found, not too exciting but it is the best i have so far! I have to admit, I feel rather out of practice up in the hills, I guess that just means I need to do more riding, which is ok with me. THe rest of the summit savage crew and I are planning on heading up the Skagway summit again right after Christmas, either the night of t he 25th or the morning of the 26th. We are bringing campers and plan on staying a couple days to get some filming done. Anyone who wants to come along can look for the old Fords with the campers at the Fraser parking lot!
December 18th 2005
All moved into my new place, finally have internet too. It is in the AM here, just about to go up to Skagway for the day. My new sled is badass, looking forward to getting it in the air. Hopefully if there is any snow up in the hills and if we get a bit of light there will be some photos to put up tonight. The photo card Lisa used in Russia is pretty much screwed, we did manage to get a few photos off of it, but not what we had hoped, kind of dissapointing, but i guess thats how it goes. I do have a bit of video though that i will get around to posting some time soon.
December 1st 2005
I have been super busy, also having trouble with a photo card, so the picture thing is kind of slow. I will have more up asap though so stay tuned...
November 30th 2005
I got back from Russia yeterday night safe and sound. Ok, here is the deal, everyone is wondering why I am listed in the competition but did not compete. I never intended to compete and was not supposed to. I went to ride in the the practice and photo sessions and to talk to the media about ramp riding vs. backcountry riding as well as about the sport as a whole. I was registered so that if for some reason I did decide to compete it would be an option. Anyway, the trip as a whole was great. The whole competition was incredible, there were 35,000 spectators at the show and everyone who competed did a great job of entertaining the crowd. RedBull Russia did a great job of putting us all up in a very nice hotel and making sure that everyone was looked after and having a good time and the SCS crew built a great course. After the comp I headed to Austria to the RedBull Diagnostics and Training facility for a few days. Austria is also a really cool place to visit, the people were very friendly and I enjoyed my time there a lot. I got to do all kinds of tests and learn from the experts about what I should focus on as far as training and getting myself into better shape. I got to meet and hang out with all kinds of cool and interesting people including motocross and supermoto racers, wind surfers and F1 drivers. I headed back to Russia on the 24th and did a TV show on a Russian extreme sports channel. It was talk show style and I got to answer a bunch of questions from people who phoned in, which I really enjoyed. I also had the opportunity to see quite a few of Moscows interesting sights before I headed back to North America. All in all the trip was awesome. I will have some photo's up ASAP of myself in practice and some of the other guys who really know what they are doing as well.
November 10th 2005
Well..... a lot has happened since I last wrote in here!! I am heading off to Russia in 6 days for the RedBull "Revolution on Machines" freestyle event. Pretty excited about that. I have been hitting the ramp down at the track here in town trying to get some freestyle skills down. It is actually going better that I thought. I will post pictures as soon as i get some decent ones. I will be making some major changes to the website in the near future, as i have kind of neglected it lately and i think it is time for a new look and bit better layout! I have a new sled to ride this season courtesy of Yukon Honda, a 2006 rev race chassis. I haven't fired it up yet, still bagging on my poor old girl from the last couple seasons, but i will be hitting the mountains with my new hotrod asap. I will be working with Oakley this season as well, something i am pretty excited about, looking forward to checking out my new gear. Got some new HMK boots with the BOA system and let me tell you... they are badass. Anyway I will try to be a little more regular on the updates for the sake of the few and far between that actually give a shit about what i am up to!
Sept 15th 2005
Getting ready for the sled porn premier party. Working on the new Summit Savages movie, on sale at the show and in dealers around town afterwards. It's pretty savage folks. highly recommended!!
July 29th 2005
I signed a Helmet Deal with Redbull last month. I am extremely excited about the upcoming season. Only 4 more months or so to go!!!!!!!
Come on snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 20th 2005
well....it's summer time. had a great last trip to Valdez in May, and a quick trip down to Pemberton and Squamish in early June. I will put up a couple photo's of the valdez trip before too long. I would like to express my gratitude to Scott Rattray of Rattrays Auto Service and also to Jason Sellars for helping me get my truck ready for the homeward journey!! Thanks guys!
